    2024 Connecticut Labor Market Update:
Is the New Normal Uncommonly Ordinary?

Join us for insights about the current state and federal economy and the labor market, along with forecasts and projections for what is to come.  The economic uncertainty has shifted from the business (worries about inflation and recession) to the impact of Artificial Intelligence – some claiming it will change everything, while others suggest only a minor impact on employment.

Our presenter will give us an overview of both the Connecticut and Federal economies, along with a discussion of forecasts and projections for 2024, including:

    -Employment and unemployment
    -Performance of Connecticut industries
-Demographics of those who are in (and who have left) the labor force
-Migration into and out of Connecticut
-Job openings and unemployment insurance claims
    -Inflation and interest rate
