Increasing Business Valuation Through People
SHRM/HRCI Credit APPROVED!
For an organization to be competitive, to be the best in class and hence maximize its valuation, it must have outstanding capabilities. These organizational capabilities—the collective skills, abilities, and expertise of an organization—are the outcome of investments in talent acquisition, performance development, succession planning, communication, compensation, and other human capital areas. They represent the ways that people and resources are brought together to accomplish work.
The HR community has talked forever about their “place at the table.” But as discussed in a recent webinar by Deloitte’s Research and Sensing team (formerly Bersin), HR’s tendency is to wait to be asked instead of stepping up. In other words, that seat needs to be earned. By taking ownership of the people or talent strategy of the organization and contributing bottom line results to both the profitability of the organization as well as to its valuation, you have earned your seat. As Leena Nair, CHRO of Unilever said in a recent interview about HR’s role “We are the business”.
Learn from John as he guides us through Strategic HR practices that increase business valuation through People!
Topics Include:
-
What have we learned about HR’s role as the “new normal” took hold during the Covid19 Crisis?
-
What does Deloitte mean by “stepping up”? The why and how of taking “ownership” of an organization’s “people strategy”.
-
What is an Integrated Talent Strategy, how does it work, how to implement?
-
Making the case to management…What is the business impact, the ROI, of an integrated talent management strategy…increased productivity, engagement, retention, valuation.
