Reasonable accommodation removes workplace barriers for individuals with disabilities so that they may enjoy equal employment opportunities.
This presentation will provide HR with the information to help better understand accommodations that allow for the successful completion of a position’s essential duties.
Accommodations, such as but not limited to, telework, flexible scheduling, assistive technology, and adaptive equipment. In addition, HR practitioners will understand how State Vocational Rehabilitation Services can assist with providing free consulting services or providing accommodations.
As a result of this session, participants will be able to:
• Manage disabilities specific to workplace accommodations
• Understand resources which can help support organizational efforts to accommodate applicants, candidates, and employees with disabilities
