We can convey intended and unintended messages in ways that extend beyond the words we use. A gesture, a tone, a figure of speech can speak volumes. When we understand how we communicate through micromessages, we will be more effective.
During this session, we will discuss:
-
how our unconscious bias might lead to messaging,
-
how we motivate or not through our messaging, and
-
how we affect individual and team performance whether we are official leaders or influencers on our teams.
These nuances of communication are important at work and outside of work. We will learn not only how to accurately interpret and respond to the behavior of others but gain important insight into our own micromessaging.
This event is pending approval from HRCI and SHRM for 1 credit
