Michell Hub facilitators will introduce concepts and language related to neurodiversity to build awareness and activities to promote building neuroequity within the participant's organization. Increasing neuroequity can increase employee morale, productivity, and communication.
Learning Objectives:
- Increase one’s understanding of Neurodiversity Origins and Definitions
- Contrast and compare Social and Medical models of Neurodiversity
- Explore Perspectives on Disability and Neurodiversity
- Identify ways to enact Neurodiverse Practices and support neuroequity in our workplace

About the Speaker:
Karen Bellnier, Director of Digital Innovation for Mitchell Hub, has been working in online learning and instructional design in higher education since 2008. She is a strong advocate for learner success. She has master’s degrees in developmental psychology and in instructional design and is currently pursuing a doctorate in education. At Mitchell College, she leads the Hub in its mission to create digital innovation and educational excellence that is accessible, flexible, and connects learners with each other while accelerating career growth.
