WEBINAR:  When Domestic Violence Comes to Work

Domestic violence has no boundaries and often extends beyond the walls of the home. When it enters the workplace, the victim may be subject to harassing phone calls, emails, and even physical monitoring or visits, which in turn results in a loss in productivity and absenteeism. Join us for a compelling program to educate HR and employers on recognizing the warning signs and learn key steps to take when you suspect an employee is a victim of domestic violence.

As a result of this session, participants will be able to:

    • Increase awareness and knowledge about domestic violence
    • Understand how domestic violence has an impact in the workplace
    • Recognize signs of abuse
    • Engage and identify resources to assist victims
    • Articulate how COVID, and the resulting quarantine, makes physical abuse more of a risk
    • Understand Connecticut's landmark legislation, as well as domestic family violence leave requirements
