A recent article in Forbes Magazine described the annual performance review as ‘a unique workplace evil that must be destroyed like a blood sucking vampire’… WOW. It’s not that bad. Or is it?? Performance reviews have long been a key battleground between HR and managers in many organizations. As part of the annual compensation review process, measuring an employee’s performance is an essential component of the overall picture as we promote, cross train, reskill and sometimes exit staff from our companies.
