    Neurodiversity brings immense value to the workplace, yet it is often unappreciated or misunderstood.  In this interactive session, we will explore scenarios and enter into discussions with a goal to create a workplace culture which will enhance employee engagement, retention and productivity.

    Key learning points:
    - Explore perspectives on disability and neurodiversity
    - Learn essential concepts and terminology to build awareness
    - Understand the medical model vs the social model of neurodiversity
    - Identify actionable strategies to incorporate neurodiverse practices in your workplace culture

    Karen Bellnier
    Director of Digital Innovation
    Mitchell College

    Karen Bellnier is the Director of Digital Innovation at Mitchell College. She has been working in online learning and instructional design in higher education since 2008. She is a strong advocate for learner success. She has an M.S. in developmental psychology and an M.A. in instructional design and is currently pursuing a doctorate in education. At Mitchell College, she leads the Hub in its mission to create digital innovation and educational excellence that is accessible, flexible and connects learners with each other while accelerating career growth.
